Ballota - Horehound

Ballota is a genus of slightly woody perennials with grey, woolly foliage. Ballota is not fully hardy in our country. Especially wet feet in the winter are a sure killer, so provide good drainage. Ballota wants a place in the full sun in a dry to normal soil. The main reason for keeping this plant is its beautiful grey foliage, which will tone down a mixed border or planter. Cut Ballota back in spring.
