Fairy Bells  (Disporum)

Fairy Bells (Disporum) is a genus of plants that usually grow in woodland settings. Therefore, they grow best in (semi)shade in humus rich soil. The flowers of Fairy Bells hang under the foliage and are usually followed by berries. There are some varieties of Fairy Bells with variegated leaves which look good in a dark part of the garden. Plant Fairy Bells between other shade dwellers such as ferns and Barrenwort (Epimedium).
