Ivy Tree (Schefflera) is a genus of plants from the (sub)tropics. Some species are kept as houseplants. They are mainly strong plants, but not very hardy. If you do want to try it, cover Ivy Tree with a thick pack of dead leaves or straw towards winter. Ivy Tree can also be kept very well in a large pot. Provide good potting soil and regular fertilization. Ivy Tree likes a spot in partial shade and has a normal need for water. Under ideal conditions, Ivy Tree can get flowers, but that is by no means a rule.
