Andrews  (Reineckea)

Andrews (Reineckea) is a small genus of plants from China and Japan. Andrews has grass like leaves that stays green in the winter. The plants like to be in half shade in normal soil. Dry spells are tolerated well. Andrews forms short underground runners and will form a nice mat. This makes Andrews very suitable to, for instance, planting against a North or West facing wall. The flowers of Andrews stay close to the ground and are violet/pink in colour. If the weather is suitable you will see red berries in autumn.
