Flax Lily  (Dianella)

Flax Lily (Dianella) is a genus of plants with grass-like leaves. In our climate, Flax Lily is not hardy. Plant them in large pots which can be brought inside in the winter. Especially the variegated plants are truly eye-catching on the terrace. You could plant with Mouse Ear (Cerastium) in front of it. Flax Lily likes full sun but the variegated ones appreciate some shade in the middle of the day to avoid scorching the leaves. Use good soil which is slightly acidic.
