Bamboo Fern (Coniogramme) is a genus of about 50 different ferns. They have a creeping rhizome and upright foliage. Many species of Bamboo Fern have regularly spaced yellow bands on their leaves. Bamboo Fern is not fully hardy in many parts of the UK. Better to protect them in winter with a layer of leaves. Bamboo Fern is not fussy about its soil as long as it is not too dry and plant in half shade.
