Giant Scabious  (Cephalaria)

Giant Scabious (Cephalaria) is an imposing plant with lovely soft cream flowers. The flowers sit on long stems far above the foliage. Therefore, better not to plant Giant Scabious between other tall plants. Giant Scabious likes the sun and a not to moist soil. Sometimes they will self-seed. Giant Scabious looks nice in a natural planting next to Red Hot Poker (Kniphofia), Globe Thistle (Echinops) and Small Reed (Calamagrostis).
