Pachysandra - Japanese Spurge

Pachysandra is a reliable ground covering perennial and usually ever green. If, after a severe winter, Pachysandra looks damaged, just cut it well back. Within no time it will form a new fresh carpet. Pachysandra spreads by means of underground rhizomes and is very suited to cover large areas, for instance under shrubs or trees. Alone, they are lost. Plant them in groups. If Pachysandra is under trees, you do not have to remove the fallen leaves, they de-compose nicely in-between the plants. The best location for Pachysandra is grows in half shade in humus rich, normally moist soil. Pachysandra combines well with Geranium macrorrhizum and Lamiastrum.
