Rosmarinus - Rosemary

Rosmarinus is a genus of winter green (half) shrubs from the Mediterranean. Put Rosmarinus in the full sun in well-draining soil which contains some lime. Ensure good drainage, otherwise Rosmarinus will not survive the winter. Not all species are fully hardy. Sometimes it is best to plant Rosmarinus in a pot with good drainage and winter the plant in a dry spot, protected against hard frost and bright winter-sun. By cutting parts of Rosmarinus regularly for use in the kitchen, you keep the plant nice and bushy. Good neighbour plants for Rosmarinus are Thymus, Lavandula and Origanum.
