Scabiosa - Pincushion Flower

Scabiosa likes a spot in the sun in dry to normal soil. They attract many butterflies and bees. Scabiosa gives good cut flowers but if you let them go to seed, they form attractive seed heads. To keep Scabiosa healthy, it is best to split them up every few years. Good neighbours for Scabiosa are Helenium, Salvia nemorosa, Stipa, Sidalcea, Echinops and Kniphofia.
