Dactylorhiza is a genus of orchids of which a few species grow within the wild in Europe. In our country they are all protected species. Fortunately, Dactylorhiza is also being grown commercially and through our shop you can buy these very hardy plants. Dactylorhiza prefers a moist soil and a sunny position. It will put up with some shade. Dactylorhiza does not tolerate any lime in the soil and adding some peat helps. It can take a few years before Dactylorhiza will flower.
