False Hemp

False Hemp  (Datisca)

False Hemp (Datisca) looks a lot like Hemp (Cannabis sativa) in terms of leaf, but otherwise there is no similarity with Hemp. The graceful foliage and the green flowers in long spikes give False Hemp an exceptional appearance. False Hemp grows easily in sun to partial shade in soil that does not dry out. False Hemp is unfortunately not very hardy. If you want to try to keep the plant in the winter, cover it with a thick pack of dead leaves or straw.
