Indigo Plant  (Indigofera)

Indigo Plant (Indigofera) is a genus of mainly shrubs with a fairly long bloom in the summer. They are plants for a sunny spot in normal soil. Cover the Indigo Plant with a layer of dead leaves the first winter after planting. Some species of the Indigo Plant have been widely cultivated because of the blue dye (indigo) that can be extracted from them.
