Peltaria

Peltaria - Garlic Cress

Peltaria is an unknown plant genus with very few species. A few species are suitable for use in the garden. Both for the herb garden and the ornamental garden. The flowers and leaves of Peltaria can be used in salads. The leaves taste like mustard and garlic and are sometimes reddish-brown. Peltaria's flowering consists of numerous small white flowers that attract many insects. Peltaria retains its leaves in winter. After flowering, the old leaves can be cut away, after which the plant will grow fresh new leaves. If necessary, give a gift of nutrition after cutting away. Peltaria prefers a sunny or semi-shaded spot in normal to moist soil with sufficient nutrition. Acidic soil is not well tolerated. If necessary, add some lime to the soil. Where Peltaria feels at home, the plant gradually spreads.
