Acorus - Sweet Flag

Acorus is an evergreen, grass like plant for at the water's edge. Its flower is like a corncob full of minute little flowers. The leaves of Acorus grow fan shaped together. Rootstock and leaves have a sweet scent, especially when dried. Plant Acorus in a moist area that will not dry out, together with, for example Geum. Some varieties of Acorus have lovely variegated leaves.
