General information about Bugle (Ajuga):Bugle (Ajuga) is a carpeting evergreen perennial for in the sun or half shade. If in the sun, Bugle needs enough moisture. Bugle spreads with above ground creeping shoots and forms a nice carpet. If, after several years, you get some 'bold' patches, clear these patches and re-plant with some fresh new shoots. A great display is when you combine Bugle with blue flowers and dark foliage with orange Avens (Geum) and light blue or white Great Forget-me-not (Brunnera). This combination still looks good after flowering with its contrasting foliage.Carpenter's herb - Ajuga reptans 'Alba'
