Arnica - Mountain Tobacco

Arnica is the main ingredient in Arnica-cream, widely used as a salve for bruising. Arnica is a beautiful plant, but can be difficult to grow. The soil must be free of chalk and nutrients. Arnica grows best in peat in a lightly shaded position. In summer, the soil should not be allowed to dry out. If you have to water the plant do this with soft water. Arnica is now rare in the wild and therefore a protected species.
