General information about Aster (Aster):
Aster (Aster) forms a large genus of perennials. One for everybody, in all colours and sizes. Most Asters want full sun in a reasonably fertile, well-draining, moist soil. After flowering, cut back to maintain a nice clump shape. Every 3 years it is good to dig Aster up and split it up. The tall varieties for in the border combine nicely with other plants such as Burnet (Sanguisorba), Meadowsweet (Filipendula), Fountain Grass (Pennisetum), Lampwick Plant (Phlomis) and Anemone (Anemone).
