General information about Horehound (Ballota) (Ballota):
Horehound (Ballota) is a genus of slightly woody perennials with grey, woolly foliage. Horehound is not fully hardy in our country. Especially wet feet in the winter are a sure killer, so provide good drainage. Horehound wants a place in the full sun in a dry to normal soil. The main reason for keeping this plant is its beautiful grey foliage, which will tone down a mixed border or planter. Cut Horehound back in spring.
