General information about Mosquito Grass (Bouteloua):
Mosquito Grass (Bouteloua) is a clump forming grass that spread through short rhizomes. The panicles of dens flower spikes float loosely above the plant. Mosquito Grass likes a dry and sunny spot and hates wet feet in the winter. Because of its natural look this grass grows well in a prairie garden. Good neighbour plants for Mosquito Grass are Oregano (Origanum), Cranesbill (Geranium) or low Asters (Aster).
