Brandkraut

Brandkraut  (Phlomis)

General information about Lampwick Plant (Phlomis):
Lampwick Plant (Phlomis) is a genus of usually hardy perennials which enjoy full sun. The soil should not be too fertile, or you will get loads of foliage and less flowers. The flowers of Lampwick Plant sit in rings around the stem, which looks nice going into the winter. Most species of Lampwick Plant are evergreen and have fury leaves. If the foliage gets ugly, say after a prolonged drought, cut the plant back to just above soil level. Good partners for Lampwick Plant are low ornamental grasses, Cranesbill (Geranium) and Aster (Aster).
