General information about Purple Gromwell (Buglossoides):Purple Gromwell (Buglossoides) has rough bristly foliage and is a plant for a dry to normal soil. They will tolerate sun as well as shade but prefer a spot in half shade, such as under a tree. Once established and happy they need to be kept under control as they spread freely. Purple Gromwell can be used as a good ground cover though. Plant them in groups as a single plant looks a bit lost. Purple Gromwell planting with Bloody Cranesbill (Geranium sanguineum), Yellow Archangel (Lamiastrum) and Moorgrass (Sesleria) looks good.Purple Gromwell - Buglossoides purpurocaerulea
