Buttercup  (Ranunculus)

Buttercup (Ranunculus) we all know because of its pretty yellow flowers we see alongside the road or water's edge. There are also varieties suited to the garden. Buttercup likes a spot in the sun in moist soil, but less moist will also do. The double varieties of Buttercup have been grown for centuries. Buttercup is good in a natural garden or near ponds together with Primrose (Primula) and Water Avens (Geum rivale).
