General information about Sedge (Carex):
Sedge (Carex) is a very large genus of evergreen or deciduous grasses. They are found all over the world. The panicles of Sedge are sometimes not very interesting, which cannot be said for its foliage. A characteristic of Sedge is the triangular shaped foliage. Most species require a normal to moist soil in the sun. There are some species of Sedge that, once established, will do well in dry shade.
