General information about Bluebeard (Caryopteris):Bluebeard (Caryopteris) is an autumn flowering, deciduous shrub with blue flowers. They require a sunny position in dry but fertile soil. In spring cut back well, as flowers are only produced on new wood. Bluebeard goes well in a mixed flower border. If hard frost is forecast you do well to protect the plant with a layer of leaves or fleece. Good neighbour plants for Bluebeard are Stonecrop (Sedum) and Scabious (Knautia). Bees and other insects love flowering Bluebeard.Heavenly Blue - Caryopteris clandonensis 'Heavenly Blue'
