Chelidonium

Chelidonium - Greater Celandine

Chelidonium is a genus with only 1 species; Chelidonium majus. The plant is best known for its orange-yellow milk juice which is used against warts, hence the other name Wartwort. Chelidonium is short-lived, but the species will self-seed in a good location. Chelidonium prefers a place against the edge of the forest, under bushes and in places where the ground has been disturbed. As for light, Chelidonium likes to be in partial or full shade.
