General information about Turtlehead (Chelone):
Turtlehead (Chelone) is a strong, erect perennial that will grow just about anywhere, as long as the soil does not dry out in the summer during flowering. Good neighbour plants for Turtlehead are Jacob's Ladder (Polemonium), Spiderwort (Tradescantia), and Siberian Iris (Iris sibirica). Turtleheads are faithful plants which will re-appear every year and also provide good cut flowers.
