Chrysosplenium - Golden Saxifrage

Chrysosplenium is a genus of low growing plants, mainly from the Northern Hemisphere. Also, in Western Europe we find a few species in the wild. Chrysosplenium will grow there in a moist location in semi shade on the banks of streams or ponds. For in the garden, Chrysosplenium is good in a shady corner of a pond, together with Caltha and Primula denticulata. Chrysosplenium flowers in spring with yellow green or white flowers and will form a nice mat in the correct position.
