Cyclamen - Hardy Cyclamen

Cyclamen, who does not know them as the pot plant in grandma's window? There are also 'wild' and hardy species on the market. The plants are tuberous. Do not plant Cyclamen too deep and cover them up a little in their first winter. They want a spot in the half shade in humus rich soil and not too wet in the winter. Cyclamen easily cross pollinate, therefore the flowers and foliage can be quite variable. During the summer Cyclamen can go into a rest period and lose their leaves, only to re-appear freshly before flowering.
