Darmera

Darmera - Indian Rhubarb

Darmera has beautiful foliage and in early spring beautiful soft pink flowers. The root grows partially above ground. Darmera spreads slowly but steadily as long as the soil is moist when planted in the sun. A shady spot, near the edge of water is perfect. Darmera looks great combined with Persicaria amplexicaulis. An extra treat is that the foliage of Darmera shows lovely autumn colours.
