Doodia

Doodia - Rasp Fern

Doodia is a fern that occurs naturally in New Zealand and Australia. They are therefore not very hardy in our climate. Fortunately, they can be kept well in a large pot that can be stored frost-free in the winter. You can try to let Doodia hibernate in the garden, but then cover the ferns in autumn with lots of dead leaves or straw. Doodia is a fern that tolerates sun quite well, but make sure the soil is moist enough and avoid strong midday sun in the summer. The foliage of Doodia is beautiful orange to reddish brown when emerging.
