General information about Leopard's Bane (Doronicum):
Leopard's Bane (Doronicum) is a merry, early flowering perennial. They will grow just about anywhere as long as the soil is not too wet. Leopard's Bane flowers when not much else does and is also a good cut flower. Plant in half shade or under shrubs. In dry places, Leopard's Bane might die back in the summer heat, only to re-appear again later in the season. Good neighbour plants for Leopard's Bane are Bleeding Heart (Dicentra), Great Forget-me-not (Brunnera), Lungwort (Pulmonaria) and Barrenwort (Epimedium).
