Doronicum - Leopard's Bane

Doronicum is a merry, early flowering perennial. They will grow just about anywhere as long as the soil is not too wet. Doronicum flowers when not much else does and is also a good cut flower. Plant in half shade or under shrubs. In dry places, Doronicum might die back in the summer heat, only to re-appear again later in the season. Good neighbour plants for Doronicum are Dicentra, Brunnera, Pulmonaria and Epimedium.
