Fackellilie  (Kniphofia)

Fackellilien sind eindrucksvolle Pflanzen, von denen einige auch wintergrün sind. Die Fackellilie blüht mit zahlreichen röhrenförmigen Blüten in dichten Ähren in den Farbtönen gelb, orange und rot. Auch weiß und zweifarbig kommen vor. Wenn Sie die ausgeblühten Blütenähren entfernen, bildet die Fackellilie neue Blüten. Sie möchte gerne einen sonnigen Standort auf gutem Boden. Zu viel Feuchtigkeit im Winter mag sie überhaupt nicht. Sorgen Sie deshalb für einen gut durchlässigen Boden. Die Fackellilie verträgt etwas Frost ohne Probleme, zur Sicherheit können Sie die Pflanzen im Winter aber etwas abdecken. Das ist vor allem für noch nicht ausgewachsene Pflanzen wichtig. Geeignete Partner für die Fackellilie sind Lampenputzergras (Pennisetum), Katzenminze (Nepeta) und Sonnenhut (Rudbeckia).
