Ferula - Giant Fennel

Ferula belongs to a genus of herb like plants with scented foliage. They have pinnate leaves and erect stems bearing umbels of small flowers. Ferula wants a sunny spot in dry to normal soil. Make sure the soil drains well in the winter. This will greatly increase chances of survival through the winter. Covering the plant with a good layer of leaves will also help. If Ferula is happy enough, they will luckily self-seed as well. Plant Ferula in the back of the border or in a dry spot in the wild garden.
