General information about Fescue (Festuca):Fescue (Festuca) is a clump forming grass for in a sandy, poor and slightly acidic soil. They enjoy full sunshine. If too wet or in too fertile soil, the plants will not live for long. In a good position Fescue will keep going for years and the only task will be just cleaning them up a bit in spring. Fescues not generally kept for their flowers, although a few species do have nice flowers. Their main attraction is because of their foliage: blue to green and some with some added red. Fescue looks good in a modern garden with white or orange gravel. Several plants in a large trough also looks good. Watering is hardly necessary. Because of the relaxing colour, Fescue combines well with Sun Rose (Helianthemum), Carnation (Dianthus), Bloody Cranesbill (Geranium sanguineum), Shrubby Gromwell (Lithodora) or Stonecrop (Sedum).Blue Fescue - Festuca glauca 'Zwergenkonig'
