General information about Fritillary (Fritillaria):Fritillary (Fritillaria) is a genus of bulbous perennials in a range of sizes. We sell the smaller species such as Snake's Head Fritillary (Fritillaria meleagris). This species has a typical pattern of squares on its hanging flowers. In spring, Fritillary wants a reasonably moist soil, but then in summer and winter not too moist. A bit of fertilizer after flowering is appreciated. A fresh helping of some compost will suffice. During the summer Fritillary will die back above ground only to reappear in spring. Fritillary is good for in the natural garden and combines well with Buttercup (Ranunculus), Bugle (Ajuga) and Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa).Snake's Head Fritillary - Fritillaria meleagris
