General information about Gentian (Gentiana):
Gentian (Gentiana) is a large genus of annual and bi-annuals, but luckily also long living perennials. Gentians vary greatly in size and flowering period and also in planting habitats. As a rule, Gentian likes a cool spot in moisture retaining, well-draining soil. Some species either want or do not want some lime in the soil. Where necessary, this information is given by the species in question.
