General information about Cranesbill (Geranium):
There is a Cranesbill (Geranium) in just about any colour and size for anywhere in the garden. Cranesbills for in the sun or shade and for moist or dry soil. The somewhat larger varieties are good for in the border. They tend to flower for a long period and grow fast and bushy. Cranesbills are well suited to fill in the gaps where the spring flowering bulbs were. Also in the natural garden Cranesbill is great combined with ornamental grasses, Beebalm (Monarda) and Coneflower (Echinacea). The low growing varieties are ideal when used along paths and in the rockery. If Cranesbill become a bit messy after flowering, cut them well back and give a little feed. They will soon start again with fresh shoots.
