General information about Gladiolus (Gladiolus):
Gladiolus (Gladiolus) is a genus of about 180 cormous perennials. Most are not hardy but in the last few years more and more varieties have come to market that will survive our winters. In the summer Gladiolus wants a fertile soil and moisture. Often you will need to stake the plants. If you do not want to chance losing your plants, dig up the corms of your Gladiolus and overwinter in a dark frost-free place. Plant them again in spring, about 10 cm deep.
