General information about Horned Poppy (Glaucium):
Horned Poppy is a genus of sun-loving perennials native to North America. The plants are characterised by their finely hairy, often silvery-grey leaves and bright yellow, daisy-like flowers. The nectar- and pollen-rich flowers are a favourite with bees and butterflies. Horned Poppy thrives best in a sunny position in well-drained soil. Thanks to their excellent drought tolerance, these low-maintenance plants are ideal for rock gardens, prairie-style plantings and sunny borders.
