Glechoma - Ground Ivy

Glechoma is a genus of creeping ground covering plants with small flowers. The common green variety can be classed as a weed in some gardens. Use them in a wild garden where they will form a nice carpet with blue/purple flowers. The variegated varieties of Glechoma are attractive right through the year. They will grow literally everywhere but prefer somewhat tempered light. Try using the variegated varieties as under planting for Hosta, Actaea and large ferns.
