Globe Thistle (Echinops) is a genus of strong thistle-like plants with greyish foliage and flowers in the shape of a sphere. They are excellent cut flowers, both fresh or dried. Globe Thistle attracts a whole host of insects. Even after finishing with flowering, the flowers are still attractive for a long time. Globe Thistle requires a place in the full sun in dry to medium soil which should not be too fertile.
