Greater Celandine  (Chelidonium)

Greater Celandine (Chelidonium) is a genus with only 1 species; Chelidonium majus. The plant is best known for its orange-yellow milk juice which is used against warts, hence the other name Wartwort. Greater Celandine is short-lived, but the species will self-seed in a good location. Greater Celandine prefers a place against the edge of the forest, under bushes and in places where the ground has been disturbed. As for light, Greater Celandine likes to be in partial or full shade.
