Cranesbills are well suited to fill in the gaps where the spring flowering bulbs were. Also in the natural garden Cranesbill is great combined with ornamental grasses, Beebalm (Monarda) and Coneflower (Echinacea). The low growing varieties are ideal when used along paths and in the rockery. If Cranesbill become a bit messy after flowering, cut them well back and give a little feed.
