Some varieties of Border Phlox are susceptible to mildew. Ensure there is plenty of space and air around the plants. The low varieties (Creeping Phlox) are usually winter green and perfect for in the rockery or as ground cover. Try combining with Aubrietia (Aubrieta) or Serbian Bellflower (Campanula poscharskyana).
