General information about Helen's Flower (Helenium):Helen's Flower (Helenium) is a genus of perennials with an upright growth for in a sunny position in normal soil which should not dry out. Helen's Flower comes in a wide range of warm colours, from yellows through browns to reds. They are good cut flowers which also attract lots of insects. The flowering period and height of Helen's Flower can be influenced by topping some of the stems in the month of May. In order to keep Helen's Flower fit and healthy, it is recommended to dig them up every 4 years, split them and re-plant the healthy parts in soil with some added compost.
