General information about Yellow Archangel (Lamiastrum):Yellow Archangel (Lamiastrum) is closely related to Dead Nettle (Lamium), but because of its long runners is more suited as a ground cover for large areas. Yellow Archangel will grow just about anywhere, even in deep shade. The foliage of Yellow Archangel often has a lovely grey marking. Also the flowers are nice, a soft yellow and borne in axial clusters, with a prominent 'hood'. In a natural shadow garden Yellow Archangel combines well with Japanese Sedge (Carex morrowii), Hellebore (Helleborus) and Ostrich Fern (Matteuccia).Golden Dead Nettle - Lamiastrum galeobdolon
