General information about Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum):Everyone knows Ox-eye Daisies (Leucanthemum). From the original wild form, many cultivars have been bred with large, sometimes double blooms. Ox-eye Daisy can be successfully used in many parts of the garden, the cottage garden or border. The single blooms look good in a natural planting. Ox-eye Daisy produces good cut flowers. Good neighbour plants for Ox-eye Daisy are Larkspur (Delphinium), Poppy (Papaver), Phlox (Phlox) and Lupin (Lupinus). The plant like a spot in the sun in normal but fertile soil. Give them a hand full of compost in spring. As a rule, Ox-eye Daisy is not too long living. You can improve this by cutting the plants back to about 10 cm after flowering.
