Leymus

Leymus - Lyme Grass

Leymus is a grass that together with Ammophila you will often see in sand dunes along the coast. Leymus produces underground runners and is therefore not very suited for in the border. Better to plant it in a natural garden where it prefers dry to normal soil in the sun. Leymus has blue/green leaves and combines well with the warm colours of Helenium. Also nice is planting Leymus in a large terra cotta pot. It will soon fill the pot. Leymus is well suited for planting in coastal areas. Leymus looks good with a large group of Armeria planted in front of them.
